About Me

I live in Edmonton, Alberta where I share a quiet life with a Boston Terrier named Bodhi. My career in business and finance forced me to tuck away the wild child within—the girl who ran away at sixteen and danced on stages across Alberta and British Columbia, loved freely, and believed in the magic of love poems. That part of me is still wild and passionate and wears long braids and baggy clothes like a modern-day hippie. That’s the girl inside of me who writes my stories because she is life, she is story, and she is proud of the life she built one brick at a time.

My inspiration comes from writers such as: Angie Abdou, Heather O’Neill, Billie Livingston, Thomas Trofimuk, Deborah Willis, Joel Thomas Hynes, and Richard Wagamese. I am also a lover of classic literature such as Les Miserables, Of Human Bondage, East of Eden, War & Peace, among many other great writers such as Jane Austen, The Bronte Sisters, Edith Wharton, Thomas Hardy, John Williams, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and Milan Kundera.
